PARTNERNSHIPS
Collaboration, external engagement, knowledge exchange, and impact are central to the ambitions of the SGSSS.
Our overarching ambition is to support PhD students and early career researchers, through opportunities and training, so they are confident and skilled in collaborating with partners in private, public and third sectors to maximise the impact opportunities arising from their research.
We work with a wide range of partner organisations through collaborative research projects, training and internships. These partners offer support and guidance to our PhD students and, providing valuable non-academic input into our training partnership. Many also provide opportunities for our students to develop of their research and skills, whilst making a real-world contribution to society and industry.
Our partnership vision is to support a cultural shift in perspective from research on to research with all non-academic partners and to more appropriate use of models of co-production in relation to the development of research questions, knowledge production, knowledge exchange and impact.
