Below is the SGSSS Student Handbook for 2025/26. The Handbook is designed for ESRC-funded SGSSS students during the entirety of their studentship and will be updated each academic year. 

As such, if you are an ESRC-funded SGSSS student, this should be your first source for information relating to your studentship and all things SGSSS. Should you have any additional queries however, please contact the SGSSS team on team@sgsss.ac.uk. 

As per the information within the Handbook, HEI Admin Leads (SGSSS institutional administrative contacts) are best placed to answer queries about registration, tuition fees and studentship payments, as these are primarily handled at an institutional level. 

We will occasionally make minor changes to the Handbook when required throughout the academic year as training dates become known and/or if guidance changes etc. As such, so that you know you are viewing the most up-to-date version of the Handbook, please see the “Last updated” date within the footer of the Handbook or the “Version History” detailed on this webpage.
