The Saltire Emerging Researcher programme offers the unique opportunity for PhD and ECRs to undertake a fully-funded research placement in Europe. Through the SER, researchers can spend time in Europe collaborating with a research partner to strengthen and develop new research relationships.
We continue to welcome new applications for our open competition from PhD students and Early Career Researchers in the Social Sciences to spend time in Europe collaborating with a research partner they have identified. The placement can be in person or designed to take advantage of our hybrid and virtual models to suit individual needs.
