Supervisor Development Resources
SGSSS are excited to announce a series of supervisor and PhD student workshops in collaboration with Scafell Coaching Ltd (Elizabeth Adams) and MyConsultants (Robin Henderson) which will help shape our supervisor and student support. These sessions are funded by the Scottish Funding Council.
Each workshop will be a 2 hr session to meet other supervisors and research students from across Scotland – find out about how we can support you already and (importantly) help us to shape that ongoing commitment. There will be an opportunity to hear from students about the things they find most challenging, to support your reflection and practice as a supervisor.
More information on these sessions to come, we plan to host them in the Glasgow, Stirling, Aberdeen, Edinburgh areas and online!
We welcome participation from :
- Current/Incoming SGSSS supervisors & PhD students,
- Prospective / former applicants of our supervisor-led competitions,
- Supervisors in attendance can be first, second, or third supervisors,
We have a limit of 20-25 participants for each session. Please select the sessions you are available to attend and we will accommodate you to one accordingly. Tea/coffee/biscuits will be available at each in-person session.
